My wife Kathy and I moved to Southwest Florida in 2003 after a 37 year career at a large utility in Michigan. One of the first things we did was get involved in the campaign of George W. Bush and find the L.C.R.E.C. Since then we have been involved in supporting every Conservative candidate we could.
At a Liberty Council supported event called "The Awkening" we became involved with Personhood of Florida and for years sat on the State Board of Directors.
We both firmly believe that life begins at conception and all life is created by God. Its not our place to determine whether to end the life of a baby because it may be "inconvenient".
For about 2 1/2 years now I have been volunteering in the Men's' Ministry at Verity PMC, a pro-life organization that offers free pregnancy testing and counseling with STI testing at no cost.
I recently had the added honor to be asked to be the Vice President of the Estero Republican Club.
I have over 25 years of experience in the Corporate Travel Industry, where I managed one of the largest American Express branches in the Boston Area. My career was focused on managing corporate travel offices for fortune 100 firms, expert trainer for Sabre and Apollo, and a corporate meeting and event planner, both domestic and internationally. My extensive corporate meeting planner career allowed me the opportunity to work in numerous countries, worldwide. After relocating to Estero, I continued my career with ADT Security International, as a corporate event planner and custom sales project manager. For the past few years, I have been an activities director for lifestyle gated communities, planning and executing over 140 events annually.
For the past 15 years, I have been involved with numerous community causes, both as a member and activists. I am the founder of “Light Up Estero”, the annual Christmas Tree Celebration and “Grief Share” a program designed to help people move through the grieving process,
I have been a political activist for 16 years, with memberships in the LCREC, and other county republican organizations. I’ve sat on republican organizational boards, committees, regional distrist director for the FFRW, Florida Federation of Republican Women, Co-Chair and Chair for presidential campaigns, and chair for “Woman for DeSantis”.
I am a member of River of Life church in Estero for the past 13 years, and sat on the board during the transitioning as a sovereign church.
As founder of the Estero Republican Club, I am extremely excited knowing we are one of the fastest growing clubs with the RPOF in the state.
I was born in Germany and came to this country legally at age 16. I graduated High School here, then obtained a BA, MA, and PhD from the City University of New York. I paid my way by working in a clinical laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Following graduation, I worked with my husband for 40 years doing physiological and pharmacological research, first at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, then SUNY Downstate Medical College in New York.
We have a daughter, who is Director of Clinical Research at Merck Pharmaceuticals, and two grandchildren, one in first year College, the other in second year High School.
I am retired now and am trying to return some of the many blessings I have received from this country from it, especially, being able to follow my dream.
